Apna Punjab ("we", "our", "the app") is a Punjabi language learning application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

• Password:stored securely using industry-standard hashing (we never see or store your plain-text password).

You may use the app without creating an account by choosing "Skip for now". In guest mode, no personal information is collected.

Learning Progress

We store your quiz scores, level progress, and word review lists locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you are signed in, in which case it may be synced to provide a consistent experience across devices.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication:to create and manage your account.
• Service communications:to send password reset emails and important service updates.
• Marketing:with your consent, we may send occasional emails about new features, content updates, or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Data Storage and Security

Account data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage.

Learning progress data is stored locally on your device using standard device storage.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Service providers:Supabase (authentication and database hosting).
• Legal requirements:if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data.

6. Children's Privacy

Apna Punjab is designed to be used by learners of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Children can use the app in guest mode without providing any personal information.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Local device data is removed when you uninstall the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
